I love shopping small. Dealing one on one with the individuals that make (or grow) your goods is a rewarding part of doing business. Whether it's food or household items, staying small (And local when possible) is always best. Not only do you help out the local economy, but you usually have better customer service, and a higher quality end-product. This is especially true when it comes to custom jewelry.
I love jewelry like any woman, but I have a hard time finding jewelry that not only stands up to the rigors of farm life, but is also beautiful and fashionable. I was contacted by Courtney of Courtney Marie Jewelry, and she generously sent me a custom made bracelet to try out.
I will admit, when I first got it, I guessed it would last few days before I broke one of the beautiful metal scrollwork letters-which is disappointing, but happens. I have a jewelry box full of pieces that I've broken. This one, however, hasn't made it there yet-and I've worn it almost every day!
I've gotten many compliments on the bracelet as I've worn it.
Courtney is based in Texas, and started out in jewelry as a child, putting beads onto fishing line. She ended up taking up wire-wrapping, and eventually started designing her own pieces. Here are a few pictures of pieces I've fallen in love with:
She has beautiful pieces on her Facebook and on her website. And, as a thank you to my readers and fans, Courtney is giving away one of the "Love" bracelets! Enter below!
